Privacy policy

VisioMédecin is a private medical clinic offering video consultations in Quebec. This policy describes how we handle the personal information collected through visiomedecin.ca.

You book without creating an account. The booking form collects:

• your first name, last name, email address and phone number;
• your date of birth and sex assigned at birth;
• whether you have drug allergies, and which ones;
• the consultation reasons you select and the description you write;
• the chosen service, and the date and time of the appointment;
• your acceptance of the terms of use.

If a doctor issues you a certificate, we keep its content: the selected statements, the dates, the doctor's comments, name and licence number.

We use this information only to:

• organize your consultation and assign it to a doctor;
• let the doctor prepare and conduct the consultation;
• send you the booking confirmation, the video invitation and, where applicable, your documents;
• let you cancel through a secure link;
• protect the service against abuse.

We do not sell your information, we do not run targeted advertising, and the site uses no analytics or tracking tools.

The clinic's administration and front desk see all booking information, including the reason and the description, to organize consultations. A doctor only sees the appointments assigned to them. Every access goes through a personal account, and sensitive actions are recorded in a log.

The service relies on the following providers. Some process information outside Canada, notably in the United States:

• Hostinger hosts the site and its database, on a server located in the United States;
• Cloudflare routes and protects the site's traffic;
• Google (Calendar and Meet) receives your name, email address and appointment time to create the invitation and the video link;
• Resend delivers emails: the booking confirmation and, where applicable, the certificate as an attachment, which contains your date of birth.

Your consultation reason, the description you write and your allergies are never sent to these providers in an email, an invitation or a certificate.

We keep your information for as long as the purposes above require and to meet our professional and legal obligations. An issued certificate is never changed; a correction is a new certificate. To request deletion, write to us.

The site is served over HTTPS only. Access to the clinic's area requires an account activated with Google, and every request is checked against the person's role. Passwords are stored with one-way hashing, and the cancellation link relies on a secret token unique to your appointment.

The site only uses cookies it needs to work: one that remembers your chosen language and, for clinic staff, secure session cookies. No advertising or audience-measurement cookies are used.

You can ask to see the information we hold about you, to have it corrected, or to have it deleted where the law allows. Write to us at [email protected]; we answer as soon as we can.

We may update this policy. The date of the last update is shown at the top of the page.
